KIE : Kigali Institute of Education, Rwanda
Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) is a young public institution of higher learning in Rwanda, founded in 1999.
It has the vision of becoming an institution of higher education, which is an internationally known centre of excellence producing professionally qualified teachers and other professionals in high quality research environment that promotes community services.
KIE comprises three faculties.
The Faculty of Science with three department; Computer Science Department, Department of Biology-Chemistry and Physical Sports, Department of Mathematics and Physics.
The Faculty of Arts with six departments; Department of Communication skills, Business Department, Economics Department, Literature Department, French Department, Kinyarwanda Departement.
The Faculty of Education has the following Departments: Educational Foundations, Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Teaching, Educational Policy, Planning and management, Development Studies and Environmental Education and Special Education, School Practice.
